The Vivo X200 series, which recently debuted in China, is expected to arrive in India soon, with a possible launch slated for December 2024. While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the date, the series is expected to include three models: a standard variant, a Pro model, and a Mini version. However, it’s unclear whether the Mini variant will make it to India, considering the declining popularity of compact devices in the Indian market.
Apple’s discontinuation of its Mini series, driven by disappointing sales, serves as a cautionary tale. However, Vivo’s X200 Mini is relatively larger with a 6.3-inch display. Vivo could decide to offer all three models in India, following the footsteps of brands like Samsung and Google, which provide multiple options in their flagship series. We expect more clarity in the coming weeks when Vivo officially announces the lineup for the Indian market. In the meantime, here are 8 key features we already know about the Vivo X200 series:
-The Vivo X200 features a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED LTPS quad-curved screen with support for PWM dimming, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 4,500nits.
-The standard X200 model is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. This setup promises a good photography experience to users, something that remains to be seen.
-The VivoX200 comes with a 5,800mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging. Just like other Chinese companies, Vivo also bundles a charger in the retail box.
-The Vivo X200 Pro shares a similar display to the standard model but comes with a few improvements, including an LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and slimmer 1.63mm bezels.
-The Vivo X200 Pro Mini sports a more compact 6.31-inch flat display while retaining the triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The Pro variant features a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO telephoto sensor, whereas the Pro Mini is equipped with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.
-The Pro models are supported by Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, which enables advanced features like 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait video and 10-bit Log video recording at 60fps.
-The Vivo X200 Pro and Pro Mini feature large 6,000mAh and 5,800mAh batteries, respectively, with support for 90W fast charging.
-All models in the X200 series are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, built on a 3nm process. The chip includes a Cortex-X925 performance core with a peak clock speed of 3.6GHz, promising top-tier performance.
